1. Memorial Day 2021

I hope everyone has a good Memorial Day weekend. I will miss seeing friends at the “Legends of Belmar” which is usually the Friday night of Memorial Day - “Start of Summer Happy Hour.       Since the 1980’s Belmar house days I enjoyed seeing my friends the “Legends of Belmar”. The champions of beach volleyball would usually join Ken V and friends before Spring Lake 5 race for "Legends Night" in Belmar at D’Jais for free food Ocean Ave. Belmar, give out Usa stickers, then bike to Bar Anticipation. The greats of Belmar beach volleyball, friends of Holme band and the beach would be there. We give out American Flag stickers to lucky customers to show support for USA and those who served. Marty P, John C. Chris K, Loud Scott, Legendettes, Daniel-son, Billy Ball, and many others. No Spring Lake 5 race for 2021. I look forward to return of the Holme band and to see old friends. I got my vaccine card.   Unfortunately the Edison Memorial Day Parade and Metuchen Parades have been rescheduled to 2022. There are still Memorial Day services planned.       Son & grandsons of Veterans should join the Sons of American Legion S.A.L. Membership Eligibility Requirements All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of the American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans shall be eligible for Membership in the Sons of The American Legion. Ken Vercammen is a member of the Sons of American Legion in Edison.
